Who we are

People helping people—with our own time and skills.

Sove Haiti is powered by volunteers. We are a group of people who dedicate our time, knowledge, technical skills and resources to helping children and young adults in our community. We currently operate without government financial assistance.

Our volunteers help students with schoolwork and homework, reading, research and mentorship. We also introduce practical computer and technical skills that can open doors to education, employment and entrepreneurship.

Some children need a quiet place to study. Others need someone willing to explain a difficult assignment. Some have never had regular access to a computer. We want Sove Haiti to be the place where they can find that support—and much more.

Located in Jacmel, our library gives children and young adults access to more than 20 computers, books and educational resources in an environment built around learning.

We want students focused on the homework they completed, the book they are reading, the computer they repaired, the website they built, or the future they are imagining.

Our vision: a modern school in Jacmel.

Our long-term goal is to build a modern school combining strong traditional academics with technology and practical skills for the modern world.

We envision modern classrooms, computer and AI labs, science laboratories, reliable internet, a comprehensive library, technology workshops, collaborative learning spaces, recreation areas and places where students can create and innovate.
